Our mission

Raise With Care and Communicate With Clarity

Old Pine keeps its Pomeranian program small so daily care can stay connected to the puppies in front of us. We raise only a few litters each year in our home. Puppies receive regular observation, daily handling, appropriate rest, and age-aware experiences with ordinary household life.

Clear communication is part of that work. We want families to understand the current puppy profile, the written health information, the applicable homecoming details, and the questions that still need an answer before they make a commitment. We share what has been observed and documented without predicting adult size, final coat, fixed temperament, or a particular health outcome.

Daily socialization and sensory experiences stay suited to the puppy’s stage. Household sounds, varied surfaces, gentle grooming contact, and positive interaction can become familiar without filling each day with constant stimulation. Rest and quiet handling remain part of the routine.

Our breeding dogs receive veterinary screening that includes patellar, cardiac, and eye evaluations. The complete Health Guarantee explains the examination requirements, responsibilities, coverage, exclusions, deadlines, and available remedies connected to a transfer.

Our vision

Prepared Families and Thoughtful Puppy Placements

We want each family to enter the process with a realistic understanding of Pomeranian care, their own household routine, and the information attached to the puppy they are considering. A useful conversation should help a family decide whether the timing, daily responsibilities, grooming needs, and long-term commitment fit their life.

We also want the website to make that preparation easier. Current puppy details should stay current, policy wording should remain easy to find, and educational guides should help families form better questions for veterinarians, trainers, and groomers.

That vision extends beyond the first inquiry. We ask families to contact Old Pine if circumstances change and they can no longer keep the dog so we can discuss the available options. Our aim is to keep communication direct and practical at each stage where Old Pine can provide relevant information.

How the purpose developed

Our Life With Pomeranians Began at Home

About twenty years ago, my wife and I set out to find a small companion dog for our family. Finding a breeder who communicated well and provided clear information took time. We welcomed our first two Pomeranians, a male and a female from an AKC-registered breeder, and focused on giving them a good life at home.

The next five years brought practical experience with grooming, behavior, routines, and the attention young dogs need. Friends and neighbors later asked about their puppies, and those early placements taught us how much families value honest answers, organized records, and guidance they can review at their own pace.

Interest reached families outside the local area, but Old Pine did not become a high-volume program. The mission still depends on a limited number of litters, direct conversations, and enough time to notice the details that can help a family ask better questions.
